With more than 15 years of broadcast experience at the high school, collegiate and semi-professional levels, Tim Spoerl has provided a constant blend of excitement, knowledge, and professionalism to the Kansas City area. Tim currently serves as the primary play-by-play voice for Rockhurst University athletics, the Spectrum News Game of the Week and Sports Radio 810's Game of the Week in Kansas City.
As the voice of Division 2 Rockhurst, Tim provides play-by-play for men's and women's soccer, basketball, lacrosse, softball and baseball on the GLVC Sports Network.
The last four years Tim has transitioned into television becoming the voice of the Game of the Week for Spectrum News during football and basketball season, as well as calling select games with the Fountain City Sports Network.
While with Sports Radio 810, Tim has broadcast six NAIA men’s basketball national championships, multiple Kansas and Missouri high school state championship events, and hosted weekly pre and postgame shows.
Prior to his time with Rockhurst, Tim was the voice of Avila University from 2015 to 2019, providing play-by-play for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball, and covering multiple NAIA national tournament events. =
A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tim graduated from Benedictine College with a degree in journalism and mass communications and currently resides in Kansas City, Missouri.
